LTTA 3- Greece

The third Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA 3) of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project took place from December 6-10, 2023, in Rafina, Greece, hosted by PARAGON-eduTech. This LTTA focused on Robotics and Coding in Education, equipping participants with fundamental programming skills, robotics integration strategies, and hands-on applications for digital learning environments.

The program provided practical exposure to educational robotics, including the RoboAquaria project, Coding for Kids initiative, and the Digital Teachers Mobile App. Participants explored interdisciplinary STEAM education, history-technology integration, and digital collaboration platforms, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The event included visits to cultural and technological landmarks, such as the National Archaeological Museum (highlighting the Antikythera Mechanism as an early example of computational thinking), and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, showcasing the intersection of art, education, and technology.

By integrating lessons from previous LTTAs, this event was further enhanced by:

  • Strengthening robotics and coding skills, applying them to real-world STEAM education scenarios.
  • Exploring the role of AI, VR, and digital tools in interactive and student-driven learning.
  • Incorporating sustainability and environmental science, demonstrated at The Ellinikon Experience Centre.
  • Encouraging collaboration through eTwinning, EU CodeWeek, and Scientix, connecting educators to European-wide STEM education networks.

This LTTA reinforced teacher capacity in digital education, providing a comprehensive, hands-on approach to integrating robotics and coding into interdisciplinary, future-ready classrooms.
