User Guide
The Digital Teachers Smart RoboKit was designed with economy in mind, making it accessible to schools with limited resources. The kit consists of three primary components: the base, the articulated arm, and the claw, each requiring specific mechanical and electronic parts. This manual provides detailed assembly instructions using standard metric components, including servo motors and an optical encoder motor. Additionally, the RoboKit integrates Makeblock robotic components, which can be programmed using mBlock 5 software for interactive and hands-on learning. Educators can use this guide to implement STEM-based activities and enhance students' understanding of robotics and automation.

Learning, Teaching, Training Activities - LTTA

LTTA 1 - Estonia

The first Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA 1) of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project took place from 19th to 23rd June 2023 in Luunja and Tartu, Estonia, hosted by Luunja Secondary School. This LTTA focused on Web 3.0 tools, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), robotics, and digital content creation for education.

Participants engaged in hands-on workshops on Web 3.0 tools, exploring VR and AI applications in education, and experimented with robotic tools such as Sphero RVR and drones. They created educational materials integrating digital tools, emphasizing interactive learning experiences. The program also included school visits, cultural activities, and collaborative discussions, ensuring a comprehensive approach to digital transformation in education.

LTTA 2 - Portugal

The LTTA in Portugal (23rd–27th August 2023), part of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project, focused on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and interdisciplinary teaching strategies. Hosted at EB Terras do Ave School in Póvoa de Lanhoso, Portugal, the program included expert-led sessions, hands-on workshops, and cultural visits. Participants explored STEAM integration in education, interdisciplinary learning scenarios, and the use of digital tools such as augmented reality (AR), virtual labs, gamification, and artificial intelligence (AI) for enhancing classroom engagement. Special emphasis was placed on teacher training, professional development, and collaboration among educators to foster innovative teaching methodologies. Activities included presentations by experts, practical applications of digital tools in STEM education, discussions on 21st-century skills, and collaborative projects to implement technology in real-world teaching contexts.

LTTA 3 - Greece

The third Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA 3) of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project took place from December 6-10, 2023, in Rafina, Greece, hosted by PARAGON-eduTech. This LTTA focused on Robotics and Coding in Education, equipping participants with fundamental programming skills, robotics integration strategies, and hands-on applications for digital learning environments.

The program provided practical exposure to educational robotics, including the RoboAquaria project, Coding for Kids initiative, and the Digital Teachers Mobile App. Participants explored interdisciplinary STEAM education, history-technology integration, and digital collaboration platforms, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The event included visits to cultural and technological landmarks, such as the National Archaeological Museum (highlighting the Antikythera Mechanism as an early example of computational thinking), and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre, showcasing the intersection of art, education, and technology.

By integrating lessons from previous LTTAs, this event was further enhanced by:

  • Strengthening robotics and coding skills, applying them to real-world STEAM education scenarios.
  • Exploring the role of AI, VR, and digital tools in interactive and student-driven learning.
  • Incorporating sustainability and environmental science, demonstrated at The Ellinikon Experience Centre.
  • Encouraging collaboration through eTwinning, EU CodeWeek, and Scientix, connecting educators to European-wide STEM education networks.

This LTTA reinforced teacher capacity in digital education, providing a comprehensive, hands-on approach to integrating robotics and coding into interdisciplinary, future-ready classrooms.

LTTA 4 - Turkey

The fourth Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA 4) of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project took place from March 6-10, 2024, in Mersin, Turkey, hosted by Yenişehir Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi. This LTTA focused on Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D Printing in Digital Education, equipping participants with the skills to integrate immersive technology and digital fabrication into teaching practices.

Participants explored VR's applications in education, learning how it enhances engagement, creativity, and hands-on learning in subjects like science, history, and engineering. The VRTEACHER project, introduced during the event, highlighted VR-based training for educators, preparing them to implement virtual teaching environments and digital simulations in classrooms.

A major focus was 3D printing technology, particularly its role in STEM education and Industry 4.0. Teachers engaged in hands-on training with the Tinkercad 3D modeling tool, designing customized 3D objects and implementing 3D printing methodologies in various educational fields. The FISH 3D Printing Curriculum was introduced, allowing participants to experiment with designing robotic fish components using additive manufacturing techniques.

By incorporating insights from previous LTTAs, this event was enhanced by:

  • Blending VR and 3D printing applications, demonstrating how both technologies support interactive and experiential learning.
  • Linking digital tools with STEAM education, showing their relevance across mathematics, biology, geography, and the arts.
  • Encouraging digital collaboration, through platforms like eTwinning, EU CodeWeek, and Scientix, fostering cross-border knowledge exchange.
  • Exploring real-world applications of technology, including VR-based teacher training and 3D modeling in architecture, engineering, and science education.

This LTTA empowered educators to embrace immersive technology, develop digital teaching competencies, and prepare students for the evolving technological landscape.

Training Materials
LTTA 5 - North Macedonia

The fifth Learning, Teaching, and Training Activity (LTTA 5) of the Digital Teachers – Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project will take place from June 23-29, 2024, in Štip and Skopje, North Macedonia, hosted by Goce Delčev University (GDU). This LTTA focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and the development of AI-based e-learning platforms, equipping participants with skills to create interactive and adaptive digital learning environments.

Throughout the training, participants will explore AI-driven teaching strategies, focusing on ethical considerations, personalized learning modules, and accessibility for students with disabilities. Workshops will introduce AI-based educational tools, emphasizing how AI can be leveraged to enhance digital learning, support differentiated instruction, and create inclusive classroom experiences. Experts will guide teachers in content development, instructional design, and media integration, ensuring practical implementation.

A key component of this LTTA is E-learning platform development, where educators will learn how to design, implement, and optimize digital learning modules tailored to individual student needs. Visits to historical and cultural sites in Ohrid and Skopje will provide additional perspective on inclusive education, digital equity, and the broader impact of AI on learning and society.

By integrating insights from previous LTTAs, this event is enhanced by:

  • Bridging AI with STEAM education, demonstrating AI's role in adaptive learning, data-driven instruction, and intelligent tutoring systems.
  • Focusing on ethical AI usage, addressing privacy concerns, algorithm bias, and responsible technology integration.
  • Expanding accessibility in digital learning, ensuring students with learning disabilities can benefit from AI-driven tools and personalized education strategies.
  • Encouraging collaboration among educators and e-learning experts, fostering a sustainable network for digital education innovation.

This LTTA will empower teachers with the tools, strategies, and digital competencies needed to implement AI-enhanced education, paving the way for future-ready, borderless classrooms.

Quality Results Report

The Quality Results Report for the Digital Teachers - Classrooms Without Borders Created with Digital Technologies project is an evaluation document prepared by Goce Delcev University, Stip. It provides a comprehensive analysis of the project outcomes, assessing the effectiveness, usability, and impact of key project components, including the Smart RoboKit Educational Material, Mobile Application, E-learning Platform, and Teachers’ Guide. The report is based on a survey of 296 respondents from multiple partner organizations, presenting feedback on user experience, engagement, and suggestions for improvement.
